It cannot be said that\u00a0what happened on Saturday night<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0UFC Glendale<\/b>\u00a0was a surprise. Ehe pairing prepared for the main event could not leave any other result.<\/b>\u00a0Not even the devil could have chosen better fighters.\u00a0Dustin Poirier\u00a0<\/b>y\u00a0Justin Gaethje\u00a0<\/b>are two of the toughest and most ambitious guys in the UFC, no doubt. They may not be as much media as Nurmagomedov or Mcgregor, but they put on just as much of a show, if not more. The two Americans were the stars of this incredible battle,\u00a0one of the best UFC fights so far this year<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Both Poirier and Gaethje are from humble origins.\u00a0They both know what it's like to work hard for very little.<\/b>\u00a0Now that they've made it to UFC and are making hundreds of thousands of dollars per fight they're not going to let it go. \"I have worked loading doors and windows<\/b>. I know how hard it is to work for others and how good it is to work for yourself. I couldn't do that again, I don't want to go back to that.\" That's how clear Poirier makes it. They clashed, therefore,\u00a0two people who, every time they fight, put their future on the line<\/b>to be able to live a better life. The result, evidently, was what it was.<\/p>\n

Gaethje came away knocked out, but happy. \"I am not in this sport to compete, I am in it for pure entertainment.<\/b>. This is an entertainment business, and that's what I do because this pays my bills,\" he said. With the show she puts on, Gaethje knows that\u00a0Dana White<\/b>\u00a0will call him back. Gaethje was asked about this craziness by several journalists after the fight, but the fighter did not give his arm: \"As stupid as it sounds, I'm happy with what I've done.<\/b>\u00a0It may sound stupid and crazy, but that's the way it is\". Anyway, all for show, or all for the money, which is perhaps the same thing. In any case, we'll see how long his famous iron jaw will hold out.<\/p>\n

Overbooking' at lightweight<\/h2>\n

After the great battle of Glendale,\u00a0Poirier asked for his chance to fight for the title<\/b>.
