Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks will return to professional competition less than a year after retiring, dropping the 4-ounce MMA gloves to fight in the \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bareknucklefightingfederation.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div><p>The particularity of the fights of <strong>WBKFF<\/strong> \u00a0is that they are \"bare-knuckle\" fights. The participants do not fight with gloves but with bandages covering their knuckles.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div><p>Hendricks (18-8) fought in the UFC after losing his welterweight title to Robbie Lawler in late 2014, and managed just two wins in his last seven fights for the promotion. His last fight was against Paulo Costa in November 2017, losing by technical knockout in the second round.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div><p><br\/>Like Ward (14-6) also recently announced his retirement from MMA after he was forced to pull out of his scheduled fight against Andre Fialho in Bellator.
